Cisco Anyconnect Vpn Connection Timed Out

This morning, i wanted to vpn into work from an ethernet connected mac via our works cisco anyconnect client. The anyconnect client makes a vpn connection ok, but when i make any network request (web/shell/etc) it drops into disconnect/reconnecting state and never gives me my vpn connection again or allows me to make a vpn connection into work. It doesn't matter if we use the AnyConnect mobile app or if we use the phone as a hotspot and connect a laptop to that. We get the following error: Connection attempt has timed out. Please verify Internet connectivity. If the phone or hotspot is connected to wireless - the VPN works just fine. The Network Connections window should open. Right click on the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client Connection. Click on Properties 4. Select the Networking tab. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) from 'This connection uses the following items.' Click on Properties. Click on Advanced. Some clients received a “connection attempt has timed out” error when attempting to connect to Cisco VPN. Incident Description and Resolution IS&T teams have investigated the issue and found that most issues seem to self resolve.
